As we all know that DigiLocker is one of the unique initiatives which was launched by the Government of India. DigiLocker initiative has brought a big change from the usage of physical documents to the digital uploading of relevant files. Using DigiLocker, you will not have to carry any of the physical documents like Aadhaar, driving licenses, PAN cards and other cards, can access such documents on their fingertips. DigiLocker has been protected and integrated the DigiLocker app and passport Seva programme.

Create DIGILOCKER ACCOUNT for uploading Documents:
Step 1: Visit the website of DigiLocker i.e. https://www.digilocker.gov.in/ and shoose any one option login or sign up.
Step 2: Click on the sign up option, fill in all asked details such as full name available on the Aadhaar card, date of birth, Aadhaar number, gender, phone number and email ID with personal information. (Note: a user who has already used the DigiLocker can upload documents and don’t require to sign up for a new one.)
Step 3: A one-time password (OTP) will be sent on the registered mobile number.
Step 4: Enter the OTP and now you can log in to the DigiLocker account.
Step 5: Users can now upload or access documents.
How to upload passport documents using DigiLocker
Step 1: Login or sign up to the passport Seva and fill in the details required.
Step 2: Now, you will go to the section where the documents need to be uploaded.
Step 3: After that, you will see a self-declaration screen in which the ‘Grant DigiLocker Access’ has ‘Proof of Birth’.
Step 4: Now, you will login to the DigiLocker account by using your mobile number, user name and Aadhaar card.
Step 5: Click on the option ‘Fetch from DigiLocker’ and will show the text ‘The document from Digilocker has been uploaded successfully’.
Step 6: You will see the message ‘Selected document is not present in your DigiLocker Account. Documents can’t be Uploaded’ in a case when the documents are not available on the DigiLocker account.
Step 7: Later, Uploaded documents can be obtained by clicking on ‘Fetch from DigiLocker’.
